GEO for fragrance brands: be the scent AI describes
Fragrance prompts sound like a conversation — "a vanilla perfume that isn't too sweet", "long-lasting fresh scent for office wear". BeautyGEO translates your notes, concentration and character into facts AI can quote, consistently across your site, retailers and reviews.
What shoppers ask AI about fragrance
What AI checks before it recommends a fragrance product
| What the AI needs | Why it matters | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Notes and fragrance family | AI describes scents in notes and families | Top, heart and base notes and family stated identically everywhere |
| Concentration and longevity | EDP vs. EDT, "lasts 8 hours" | Concentration stated; longevity claims only with a stated basis |
| Occasion and season | "For summer", "for evenings" is how shoppers ask | Plain, honest occasion guidance |
| Ingredients and allergens | Allergen lists are changing in the EU | Current INCI and allergen list on every page and feed |
| Identical facts on every shelf | Retailer and community note lists often differ | One canonical note pyramid and size/price list |
Claims watch
- EU: Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 expands the fragrance allergens that must be labelled from 24 to more than 80. New products must comply from 31 July 2026; products already on the market have until 31 July 2028.
- US: MoCRA requires FDA to set rules for labelling fragrance allergens; until then, "fragrance" may still appear as a single ingredient line. Watch for the final rule.
- IFRA standards are industry self-regulation, widely required by retailers and contract manufacturers — not law in themselves.
- For AI: "eau de parfum, 15% concentration; notes of fig, cedar and musk" is far more quotable than "an unforgettable signature".
